"Partisanship in service of political goals is fine … we practice that here all the time. "

Have you all been to the Roadblock Republicans site lately?

There's a particularly fine post up today, by the bloggy genius that is Mr Brian Young, that addresses a phenomenon that has bugged me ever since the recent, dark days of Bill Frist: why do Republicans work so hard to do such a bad job?

It would be one thing if they just weren't trying. I mean, if you look at the (in)frequency of posts here at wljk, it becomes clear that I have to overcome a pretty powerful lazy streak in order to keep things humming around here.

But when it becomes clear that one party is actually making an effort, a concerted effort, not to represent the interests of most of the American people?

You're doing a heckuva job, Congress!
