Well! That happened.
So, the Iowa Caucuses have done their thing, and it looks like Senator Obama is a step closer to becoming our Dem nominee.
When I saw the results, I surprised the hell out of myself and almost cried. (In a good way.)
I've had a hard time committing to any candidate up to this point, and I don't think 940 Iowans are going to change that. And it's been frustrating to watch so much of the media reporting on the good Senator's actions through the haze of their collective schoolgirl crush. (Before you call me a hypocrite, remember, I don't get any pay for this, and I've never claimed to have authority on anything other than the Vineyard Vines catalog.)
But if you want to look on the sunny side of this, and I almost always do, there are a lot of people in my life who have a really sincere appreciation for Senator Obama and his ideas. I can't really say that about other candidates in the running right now. And because I know what it's like to have that kind of belief in somebody you've never even met, I can't help feeling really, really happy for the Obama fans today.
No matter what we feel about what happened yesterday, we've all got to Kerry On together. So let's try to do it with some joy in our hearts.

That summed up my feelings pretty much to a tee.
