I want my streaming TV.

It's been a great(ish) week for streaming live (and now archived) video of the senator.

The televised debate(ish) between Senator Kerry and Jeff "Hey, Nineteen" Beatty (that's pronounced bead-y, like his eyes. No joke.) transpired Monday, and, the best thing I can say about it is that there were commercial, and, by extension, beer breaks. Oh, and because I think JK was wearing that orange tie that I really like, even more so after it made an appearance at the Groundhog Day Obama Rally in San Jose.

Beatty wore, I dunno, stripes or something. They did nothing for him, and certainly did nothing to change my opinion that he is a less handsome version of Frank Burns.

Wednesday, Senator Kerry spoke at Tufts, and the whole thing was pretty amazing. I'd advise you to check it out in the archive, as it includes a dig at Bismarck (and if you play Civilization, you hate that guy too!), a shout-out to my alma mater, and two uses of the word "pregnant" as a metaphor within about 10 minutes.

The only low-light was a question on gay marriage, which, though cordially worded, did bring up the one issue that never fails to turn the Senate-licious JK into a crotchety old man. Still, he gave a good answer, if he is a little pro procreation.

Seriously, it is all uterus, all the time with this guy. See my comment on the use of the word pregnant.

In addition to the uber-rad speechification, JK sat down for a Q & A with the Tufts Daily, and it's absolutely worth a read. (As well as a gander at the picture. Yowza.)

It's almost election day, Kerrycats and -kittens. Let's make it count.

Kerry On!
xoxo, dc

Was there ever really any doubt?
